Shipping restrictions during Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving Day and the day after (28-29th), most companies and government agencies, including customs brokers and offices, are closed. However, our local agent has staff on duty ready to handle any last-minute urgent shipments.
According to TSA, the Wednesday before and mainly the Sunday after the holidays are among the year’s busiest travel days. This significantly reduces the available seats when you want to fly your urgent shipment as luggage with a courier. There is also a higher risk for flight delays and cancellations affecting Next Flight Out shipments in the cargo area of regular passenger flights.
Therefore, booking your urgent shipment as early as possible is recommended to secure space on board the flights and avoid delays due to congestion and freight bottlenecks.
