Time-critical services from-to Taiwan

List of Time-critical services available for your urgent shipments from Taiwan:

1) Priority air freight, NFO (Next Flight Out) Taiwan: we have access to all airlines operating in the Taiwan market (CI, BR, KL, EK, TK…).

2) On Board courier delivery from/to Taiwan: We offer both Handcarry, NFO (XPS Freight). For the former, we are very experienced in handling the formal export and import of OBC material. Same-day collection, same-day export is usual for on board courier (remark: solution subject to current Covid-19 restictions)

3) Aircraft On Ground spare parts: we are also very experienced in handling AOG from/to Taiwan.

4) High-speed rail service: Taiwan is geographically small. Therefore, with the HSR (high-speed rail), we are able to collect from Kaohsiung (a key industrial center in the South) and have it up to TPE within 3-4 hours. Should the cargo be too large, then SPX (dedicated vehicle) collection is available, and only requires 7 hours maximum to cross the country.

5) Kaohsiung airport: speaking of the south of Taiwan, we have good resources at KHH (Kaohsiung airport) and typically use KA/CX for export. However, given the pandemic, all international flights have been suspended, so TPE remains the primary gateway till further notice.

6) Local customs brokers agents: We have been operating in this market for a decade, through our solid partnership with local freight forwarders IATA certified. We have a great working relationship with all of the key shippers that many of the Fortune 500 Tech companies export from, including their ‘designated’ brokers which is an important concept in Taiwan.

Weekend and holidays: We are able to handle pre-confirmed time critical shipments from Taiwan during weekends and holidays.

Transit time in and out of Taiwan to Europe

Typical transit time for NFO from Taiwan to Europe:

Pre Covid-19:
Depending on collection location, assuming Taichung (center) as an average, we could set an order cut-off for 9am collection at 2pm. Tender to airline by 5-6pm and export for a late-night 11 on EK or KL airlines.
During Covid-19:
Space is difficult to book, so it is typically, order cut-off (-1) 4pm, collection. Tender next day and possibly same-day or next-day export subject to the available space when confirming the booking.

Typical transit time for hand carry from Taiwan to Europe:

Pre Covid-19:
Still assuming Taichung (center) as an average, and bonded shipment, we could set an order cut-off for 2 pm, collection at 5 pm. OBC check-in, and clearance at 8-9 pm for a late-night 11 on EK or KL.
During Covid-19:
Due to the quarantine requirements, we have not operated Hand Carry service to/from Taiwan since the pandemic struck. However, we do have one or two OBCs who are willing to travel and quarantine on an ad hoc basis. Yet, due to the extra admin and logistics, we have been conservative in our quotations. We require two days in advance notice as we might have to position the courier from another country. Express collection and export would be the same.
Finally, we still believe NFO (Next Flight Out) is quicker and more convenient than Hand Carry during the pandemic. Post Covid-19 after more normality returns, Hand Carry will return to be the most flexible, fast, and premium service.
